Securing Olympic legacy proves difficult task

The Government has announced a new strategy to try to ensure a lasting legacy of sport participation from the 2012 Games.

In view of the first five-year plan worth £ 1 billion aimed at young people looked impressive.

Sport United Kingdom, in charge of the new program, is always going to receive this money as a reduction in the number of National Lottery good causes – from five to four has guaranteed them extra-£ 180 m five-year funding cycle of the next.

£ 450 M allocated for sports from 2013-17 was exactly the same amount as that given to them between 2009-13.

There is an extra £ 160 m to improve and build new sports facilities. And there is more money for school programs supported by game sponsor £ 10 m from Sainsbury ‘s.
